The experience emulates an online retail-like experience to help lower transaction cost and ensure compliance in finding products, placing orders and making payments easily and efficiently. In 2015 Grainger extended this service to those who may be on duty in the field so they can request products from their mobile device in order to help complete a specific job. Upon submission of request, the company employee that manages their eProcurement account is notified and can approve the purchase.
